"Daddy, I want to help you clean the grill!!"

Mattie had so much fun playing with the sliding door while Daddy was on the deck. He made faces, laughed, screamed, and licked the glass!

Mess Maker

Mattie loves playing the game of messiness. He will pick up his toys one by one from the container and throw them on the floor. He will do this until he is satisfied that he has thrown enough toys on the floor and then go off and do something else.

Highchair Climber

"But Mom, I don't want to sit in my highchair!"

Mattie actually doesn't mind his highchair, but he discovered this morning that he could climb out of it whenever he wanted. He was completely on top of the tray on his hands and knees, with me right there of course.

Toy Seeker

"There is a toy in here that I want to eat, so I am going to get it out."

"See, I am getting it out right now."

"Yeah, I got it out, and now I can chew on it!"

Pushy?

Mattie thinks anything that has wheels or will scoot on our floor is a pushy. He uses the computer chair, his high chair, his activity table, even the kitchen table chairs!

If you look closely at Mattie you'll notice he is standing completely on his own. He has been doing this a lot lately, and for longer lengths of time. Who knows, maybe he will be walking soon!

Star Crawling

Mattie does this thing where he'll crawl while holding toys in his hands. Here he is doing it with two stars. He'll either scoot them on the floor, or completely pick them up and bang them down. It makes it easy to know when he's on the move!

Mattie is always such a happy baby. He's started to wrinkle his nose up when he smiles/laughs, it's the most adorable thing ever!

Stair Master

Mattie loves climbing up the whole flight of stairs any chance he gets. Whenever we are downstairs he'll crawl over to them and just start climbing. He is such an adventurous baby!

Dance Baby Dance

Mattie wanted to try Dance Dance Revolution with Daddy. He loves watching him do it, and likes to play on the mat.

Growing Bean

Mattie is 10 months old today! He is growing up so fast! He is 19.5 lbs and 29" tall, which makes him in the 75% for height and the 25% for weight (tall and thin like his Daddy). He stands completely on his own for 30-45 seconds at a time, and I swear he almost took his first unassisted steps today. He babbles constantly and says everything from "itty" (kitty-he does this when he sees our cat) to "mama" and "dada". He is almost my little toddler instead of my little baby!

Catch

Mattie has discovered that he loves playing catch. We will throw a ball to him, and he'll laugh, pick it up, and toss it back to us. He even likes to play catch with Jazzy, although she doesn't really throw it to him as much as pushes it in his direction, but he will throw it back, it's too cute.

Birthday Meal

Matt enjoyed a family dinner for his 29th birthday. Actually, I think Mattie enjoyed it more! He tried steak for the first time, and had some bread and cinnamon apples. Mattie is so not picky, he will eat anything!

Pushy!

Pushy Lesson

Okay everyone, now pay attention and I'll give you a lesson on how to use pushy.

You walk behind like this, and you can't go too fast or you will fall. It helps to yell in excitement so everyone looks at what a great job you are doing.

Sometimes when you are playing with pushy you run into a wall, it's so silly. You have to turn pushy around so you can get it going again. It might take a couple of tries, but don't give up because it is so much fun!

My favorite thing to do is ram pushy into furniture. I like to try to move the furniture out of the way, it is just a silly game I like to play. I hope everyone enjoys my lesson of how to use the pushy, and remember, just be careful and have fun!

Don't be fooled by the snow on the ground, it was a warm 60 degrees this morning! Mattie and Mommy went on a walk and enjoyed the brief warm, sunny moment. (the temp dropped throughout the day and became rainy). It's supposed to be back in the 30's tomorrow, ugh! At least we got out while we could!

Drum Fun

Mattie woke up this morning and decided he was in a musical mood. He played the drums on two paint cans. They sounded different and he enjoyed hearing the different sounds.

Messy Mattie

Well, Mattie likes Oreos! Daddy was eating them, and decided to let Mattie try some, and of course he loved them! I was upstairs, and when I came down and picked him up I saw that his face was covered in chocolate. He gave me the cutest look like "what Mom, I didn't eat anything I'm not supposed to" and I almost dropped him I started to laugh so hard!

Mom's Little Helper

"Look Mom, I'm helping you unload the dishwasher!"

"Thanks for coming to play with me tonight Nana and Papa; I can't wait to play with your phone again Papa!"

"Mattie, don't get so close to the TV!" (Mom)

"But Mom, it's my Baby Einstein movie, I love watching it close!"

Mattie's Recovery

Yesterday Mattie still wasn't feeling well. His cough sounded horrible and he was really congested. Here he is zonked out on the couch trying to get some sleep.

This morning Mattie woke up feeling much better! He is still a little congested, but his fever is completely gone and his cough sounds much much better. Here he is waving 'good morning' to his Daddy.

"Score, I finally got Mommy's keys! This is the best day ever!"

Silly Man

Mattie makes some silly faces, even while he is not feeling well! Mattie's cold is worse today. His nose just won't stop running (as you can see in the picture). Hopefully he'll start to feel better by tomorrow. You can also tell he is a cutting a tooth, he is drooling like crazy (his eight tooth!).

Wonder Pets!

"What works? Teamwork!" Mattie loves the 'Wonder Pets' show, thanks to Uncle James. It really is a cute show, and they sing a lot, which Mattie LOVES! He gets so excited when he hears them singing and will bounce up and down and laugh, it's so adorable!

Mattie is so congested and his nose is running constantly, but he still wants to play. Notice the adorable backwards "W" way he is sitting.

Poor Mattie

Mattie woke up this morning sick with his first cold, poor little man. He has a fever, cough, runny nose, and congestion. I don't like that he doesn't feel well. Hopefully he feels better real soon.

What's this Mommy?

Mattie wasn't too sure about his zoo "cage". He crawled in through the door, but then after some inspection, he wanted me to get him out. Maybe he'll be more open to it next time.

This is how we drive a car....

Mattie went crazy when he was able to be in the driver's seat with Dad. (We were parked in our driveway...no crazy Britney Spears incidents).

Oh, to be young and carefree again! I miss the days when the only thing you thought about when you woke up was what toy you were going to play with.

What a Mess!

Mattie's room is such a disaster right now. There is so much snow and ice on the roof that it leaked (more like poured) onto the carpet in his room, completely soaking it and the pad under it. It smells soooo bad and so far just keeps getting worse, ugh! Matt and his Dad are going to get on the roof today to hopefully get the snow and ice off, and then maybe we can start to dry out his carpet and assess the damage. Good thing Mattie got used to his travel crib while in Charlotte because that is what he is sleeping in right now.

Mattie just loves putting on a show! Nana and Papa came over tonight and Mattie was such a ham! He showed off his toys and he talked (although, he apparently won't say 'dada' in front of anyone but Mom), and he even showed off his bathtub. He even gave Nana and Papa a hi-five as they were leaving.

Airplane

Mattie is the best little traveler! He loves being on airplanes. This was his sixth time on an airplane, and he has been so good every time. He never fusses or gets grumpy. He flirts with everyone all around him. Here he is enjoying his little bag of pretzels and a soda.
