Matt retreived over 100 muddy golf balls from the water hazard holes at the golf course and they all had to be washed. Matthew felt it was his duty to help out, as he enjoys anything that involves water, bubbles, and big messes.
Matthew is getting better and better at eating with a spoon. He used to throw the dishes on the floor (what a mess!), but now he is more interested in eating the food instead of playing with it. He is growing up so fast!!!!
For a good 25-30 minutes Matthew had a blast running around with this blanket on his head. He would laugh, pull it over his eyes (surprisingly he never ran into anything) then take it off, only to put it back on. I am always amazed at what toddlers will find amusing!
Finally, I hate not being able to blog! So, this is a little after the fact, but Matthew and I just wanted to say 'Thanks' to Grammy and Grandpa for everything- the trip to Ohio and all of the fun activities we did together. We miss everyone and hope to see ya'll soon!
I just wanted to let everyone know that I won't be able to blog for a little while. I left the camera cord at my Aunt's house in Ohio, so until I receive it in the mail I can't put any pictures on the computer, sorry!
Well, our trip to Raleigh is coming to an end. It always goes by so quick! Matthew is really going to miss his daily lunches with Grandpa, among other things. Hopefully we see everyone again real soon!
Matthew went to his second baseball game last night. (The first time he went he was only a little over two months old) It was so cute, he would clap when everyone else would clap, and dance when they played the music. He was a little confused about the wave though.
Matthew went swimming again while in Ohio with Grandpa, Aunt Ann, and some of his cousins. He loved it just as much if not more than the first time he went! Towards the end of the evening he started to get cold, and still didn't want to get out because he was having so much fun. He splashed around for well over a hour. You better believe he slept like a log that night!
Matthew, Grammy, and I went to Charlotte to visit Great Grandpa yesterday. Matthew did seem to remember him and Great Grandpa was impressed with his walking skills :). We spent the day running around town, going out to lunch, and saying "Hi" to some of our old friends. Overall, Matthew and Great Grandpa had a good time.
Matthew must get the "gene" from me when it comes to road trips! The drive between Raleigh and Ohio is 10 hours, and Matthew was wonderful! The drive up he fussed for maybe a total of 15 minutes (not even an all out cry) and the drive home for maybe 30-45 minutes total. I predict many more road trips in his future!
