Tumble Bean

Matthew gave Mom and Dad quite a scare last evening. We were playing outside, and he fell flat on his face on the pavement. He busted his lip and scraped his nose. I've never seen so much blood coming from a mouth before, he was screaming and I was a wreak. We took him to the ER (per our pediatrician's advice) because his lip was split wide open. Thankfully he didn't need stitches. The swelling has already gone down significantly in these pictures. He was so brave and was acting like it never happened while waiting in the ER, just being himself and getting into everything while we waited.

He did get upset whenever he would touch it, it was heartbreaking.

As you can see, it is already significantly better this morning.

I wonder if this is anything like his dreams :).

Couch Potato

Matthew has a new favorite place to play...the couch! He will climb up on his own, and "explore" the couch by checking behind it, bouncing on the cushions, and crawling all around.

He is just so precious when he sleeps, I can't get enough of him!

Good luck on your first day of teaching Aunt Brittney! Hopefully the kids don't give you too much trouble. Mommy and I are sure you'll do fine.

Matthew and Nana

"I always get 'fun' things to play with at Papa and Nana's house! :) "

Would this not be the perfect advertisement for Goldfish crackers?!

Matthew mesmerized by a song playing on Noggin (a TV channel made for young children).

Matthew misses his cousins, Josh and Jordan, so much! We hope that Josh had a fun time on his first day of school!

Matthew loves meal times, especially now that he sits in his "big boy chair".
Although tonight he was more interested in feeding Dad than himself.

Such a silly goose!

Problem Solver

"Hmmm...I want to turn this light on, but I can't reach it....unless I push the table to between the chair and the screen, then push the foot stool next to it, and finally prop the cushion up so I can crawl onto it..maybe I can reach it..."

"Yes! My plan worked, I turned the light on all by myself!"

"See Mom, I'm a big boy, I can figure out how to do things on my own!":)
Matthew really did all of this by himself!

Silliness

Matthew felt it was lots of fun to climb in and out of his bouncy seat, which he is way too big for now. If only he had thought it was this much fun when he was younger!

Future Tiger Woods

Papa gave Matthew his very first set of golf clubs, and it looks like we have a natural golfer on our hands!

Papa showed Matthew the right way to hit the ball.

Look at that concentration.

What a swing! It went all the way across the street! :)

Matthew definitely enjoys playing golf .

Monkey Climber

Matthew is now climbing on everything he can! He climbs on sofas, chairs, foot rests, rocking chairs-anything that he can stand up on, he tries (and usually succeeds).
