Matthew's new thing is to make a comfy spot for himself where ever he wants. He will bring a blanket (or dog bed :) ) to his pre-determined spot and get comfortable. He will toss and turn and fuss with the blanket (bed) until he feels it is just right, and then rest his head for a little bit. When he is tired of one spot, he will move to a different one. He usually likes to do it in whichever room I'm in, it's too cute!

Happy Turkey Day!

Matthew had a fun, busy, and playful Thanksgiving at Papa and Nana's house. He didn't sleep one wink the whole day, there was way too much for him to see and do. (Needless to say, he passed out on the short drive home and then went right to bed.) Mom and Dad completely stuffed their faces, although he wouldn't eat any dinner, not even the cranberries (which he usually loves) or sweet potato casserole.

In the morning he insisted on "helping" me make sweet potato casserole. Too bad he wanted nothing to do with the clean-up! :)

Papa always knows what to do to make him laugh- too bad I didn't get any pictures of them having crawling races!

He is really going to miss his Aunt Brittney, but at least she will be back in 3 short weeks.

He acted like he couldn't wait to eat, but nope, not one bite.

Matt is desperately trying to pass on his woolly obsession to his son.

Poor Nana was about as tired as Matthew. I know I too would be absolutely exhausted if I was in charge of cooking the whole meal.
He simply loves having his very own chair (or his throne, as I like to call it :) )

Raleigh Trip

So, Matthew and I went to Raleigh to visit Grammy, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Aunt Julie about a month ago. We had so much fun, especially at the Children's Museum and the pumpkin patch. I wasn't able to post any pics from the trip until now, due to technical difficulty. Here are a few pics from our trip. Hope to see everyone soon!

Where's Your Belly Button!

Of course, he was upset that he couldn't pull his shirt (onesie) up and actually touch/see his belly button.

Hiking in Mohonk Mountain Preserve

Must be nice to be able to sleep whenever and wherever you want :) .

The Mountain Shop

When in the Gunks; be it climbing, bouldering, or hiking, one must partake in a mountain man sandwich, which consists of sausage, egg, cheese, and hot sauce all on a breakfast roll. It will give you the jump start that is needed for the day. :)

Bouldering at The Nears

Matt found a projy-wojy which he nearly sent, however the lack of crash-pad didn't sit too well considering the sketchy top-out.

Matthew watched in wonder, amazed that Daddy "stuck" to the rock like a lizard.

Here I am at the top after I conquered my very first boulder problem- The Black Crack, rated a V0.

The Bean's First Camping Trip....

.....not counting the time he was in my belly :).

Matt and I decided we needed to get away, so we took Matthew to the Gunks for the weekend. We were a little weary of how he would hold up camping for two nights, but he LOVED it! He "helped" set up the tent, enjoyed watching the fire, and soaked in the whole ambiance of the experience.
