Part 2

Sit and Spin Part 2

Sorry it took so long to get Part 2 up. I still can't get the actual video onto the blog, but the link works just as well.....same password as usual: matthew

At least someone had fun today! Matthew had tons of fun with boxes, which were a lot more entertaining than Mom and Dad because we were both sick. Who knew there were so many different ways to have fun with a box? Don't you just love the mind of a toddler! :)

The Bean and me playing with the camera. He loves it when we take pictures of ourselves.

(We're both sick, but it is obvious with him because you can see the gunk running out from his nose, poor bean ).

Catch!

Matthew so enjoys playing catch with Jazzy and BB, although I'm not sure who has more fun, Jazzy or Mattie!

Action shot! It's hard to tell but if you look closely you can see the ball in mid-air.

Jazzy and BB wait so patiently as Matthew refuels before playing some more.

So adorable!

Sit and Spin Part 1

Sit and Spin Part 1

I am still having problems getting the actual video on the blog, but I'll keep trying! :) The password is the same: matthew. This is just a random clip showing how he is feeling better. Don't worry, when you see "Part 2" you will see that he didn't get hurt, he just got right back up and started playing again :).

Matthew woke up this morning feeling a lot better, which is such a relief after a temp of 104, vomiting, and a trip to the ER. He still has a low grade fever, a nasty cough, and is congested, but overall he is better than yesterday. I really hate it when he is sick! Why can't I just be sick for him?!

No More Piggies!!!!!

Matthew has now gone three entire days and nights without his piggy! It is so nice to be able to see his whole face all the time!

Matthew had some excitement when a fire truck parked on our street for awhile. He was in a trance for about 5 minutes just staring at it; he LOVES anything with sirens.

Coloring is still one of Matthew's favorite past times, especially now that he gets to create his masterpieces on top of the kitchen table.

(Yes, we still have the chili-pepper lights up, per Matt's request :) )

Pillow Fort

Matthew has now decided that whenever he sits on a couch he must cover himself with blankets and then surround himself with pillows. He insists on having every single pillow and blanket that is in the room he is currently using. I guess we all have our own eccentricities :) .

Animal Sounds

Matthew saying some of his words

I'm still working on getting the actual video onto the blog, but I am having technical difficulties. Click the link and then the password to view the video is: matthew. (For some reason you don't always need the password, I'm still working out all of the kinks.)

So Loveable

Who could not love this adorable, wild, perfect, happy nutball?! He just lights up my life! :)

(Sorry, I'm having a mushy-mom moment.)

Cousins!

Matthew is already so amped to see his cousins, Josh and Jordan, in March! He is psyched to talk and play his little heart away!

Piggy Bank

Maybe with his own Thomas coin bank he will learn to be better at saving money than Mom and Dad! It's never too early to start saving!

Why is Matthew so obsessed with my purses!?! And, he only wants the purse that I am currently using. I will change purses and let him play with the one he was previously obsessed with, but no, as soon as he sees what purse I'm using he only wants that one! Well, when he has the purse we'll just it a murse! :)

Salmon River Falls

Matt and I decided on a whim to take the Bean up to Salmon River Falls. He loved being out in the snow and was very fascinated with all of the ice formations.

The pictures don't really do the falls justice. They are so beautiful and breath-taking in person. To hear the water flowing from underneath and to take in the whole ambiance is a wonderful experience. Matthew seemed to be in awe of the whole area.

It was quite a hike to get up and down to the river though!

And, it was a steep hike, although having crampons on really made a difference.
Matthew sat (well, he had no choice about sitting, he was confined in his carrier :) and watched as Matt showed me some very basic moves for ice climbing.

It really is harder than you would think to get the ice axe to stick, especially well enough to hold your whole body weight!

Stompies in the snow! He was so glad to finally be out of his carrier and able to play.

Of course he didn't like it too much when he fell face first in the snow!

We all had a good day at the Falls, but we were all worn out by the end and ready to get in the warm car and drive home.

"Matthew's" Obsession

Matthew is obsessed with these vehicle puzzle sets. We put three of them together (I know, we have three! That is the "mom and dad" obsession part) and he enjoys seeing all three vehicles move on the track and crash into each other. He (we :) ) have gotten hours of entertainment from this toy!
