Matthew entertained himself by finding the styrofoam plates and breaking them into pieces. I then gave him markers so he could color on them....you can always find some kind of fun activity out of a mess!

Papa's B-day Celebration....as told by The Bean

Tonight Mom and Dad took me over to Nana and Papa's house so I could help Papa celebrate his birthday. He had a fun birthday balloon that I kept swatting and trying to bite, but the silly thing just wouldn't pop!

Papa let me play with his new water fountain. He knows I love anything having to do with water.

It was amazing how the water kept coming out of the top of it, I just couldn't get enough of touching and watching the water.

Mom and Dad then made me pose in a picture with them but all that was on my mind was playing with the water fountain....hmmm, how does it work, I must figure out where the water is coming from.

Great Nana played with some puzzles with me. I just love it when I get to play with Great Nana, she is so much fun!

After all of the fun playing I was pretty hungry so I ate some ice cream..yum, my favorite!

I was tired of watching everyone else take pictures so I decided that it was my turn to take some. It was cool to see the bright light every time I pressed the button, but it didn't seem like my pictures turned out....maybe next time I should keep my fingers off of the lens.

Of course I had to take a picture of Papa, it was his birthday party after all.

Mom and Dad took some time to sit and relax while I had all of my fun. I wish there was a birthday to celebrate every night! Happy Birthday Papa!

More Park Fun

Matt and I took Matthew back to the park this past weekend and, as usual, he had the time of his life. He was even able to watch Matt attempt to fly his kite (there wasn't quite enough wind).

We noticed the dead fish next to Matthew right after I took this picture, needless to say, we immediately moved to a different spot (after washing Matthew's hands-he played with a stick that had been extremely close to the fish-ugh!)

He was completely worn out in the end, although he still protested while we took him to the car.

I took Matthew to the park for the afternoon so he could run around and play. He must have gone down the slide at least 15 times. He is still timid of other children, but I can tell he is warming up to them. He seems content to just sit back and watch what all is going on, he's very observant. I can't wait to take him to the park again tomorrow!

Mattie and Mommy

It is so much fun to play with Mattie, especially outside. I love to watch what he will find to capture his attention. He loves to play with brushes, shovel the mulch, and play on the swing, just to name a few activities.

Matthew has so much fun playing with his Moo Moo Moower outside; although he does tend to get pretty rough with it. :)

Robotics

Matthew definitely has a creative/imaginative side. He likes to build things out of Daddy's Robotic Legos.

He will put small pieces together showing off his excellent fine motor skills.

I think he thought if he sat in the box with the Legos he might get a better sense of what to build :).

Vroom!

Even though it wasn't that cold out, Matthew absolutely insisted on wearing my hat and scarf, and he had to put them on all by himself. It's cute watching him show his independence.

Mmmm...Yummy!

Matthew had a busy day of playing and working in the backyard. He helped Dad and Papa put a boarder around the swing set, played on the swings and slide, and kept himself busy shoveling and listening for trucks and airplanes. I can't say it enough, but Matthew LOVES being outside!

Power Wheel Time

I'm so glad it's finally getting warm enough to play outside. This was the first time Matthew played with his power wheel outside, he had so much fun I know it won't be his last.

Vacuum Monster

Matthew absolutely insisted on doing the vacuum all by himself. He would get mad if I tried to help. He loves to help clean, he is always helping me wipe down surfaces, dust, and pick up clutter. It tends to make whatever I'm doing take twice as long, but I don't mind. It's fun to have a little helper :).

What's just as much fun, if not more fun, than coloring? Finger painting!
