Christmas!

A fun time was had by all on Christmas day. Matthew completely wore himself out, as did everyone else. We spent the day opening presents, eating good food, playing with new toys and fun games and just having a nice time. I'm sad that it's all over for another year....

Matthew knew just what to do when it came to opening gifts. It was cute when he would open up clothes because he would just throw them aside like he could care less...I'm sure he was thinking something like "why would I waste time on clothes when there are tons of cool new toys for me to play with!". Well, I appreciated the clothes anyway :).

One of his favorites is his very own digital camera. He started taking pictures of anyone and anything. He is probably so sick of everyone always taking pictures of him, but now he can take his own pictures of whatever he wants. (Thanks Aunt Brittney!)

He really does do good with waiting. He will be so patient while something needs to be assembled, as he did here with his power tool workbench-the one thing he kept wanting Santa to bring.

Of course, nothing is funner than playing with the real thing. Why would anyone want to play with toy drill bits when you have real ones at your disposal?!

He (we) were completely spent by the evening, it was nice to just lay down and relax. Matthew even sat through the entire movie "Wall-E", which Matt and I both thought was adorable. (I was so sure he was going to fall asleep during the movie, I would have even put money on it, but he stayed awake to watch the adventures of Eve and Wall-E).
