Brittney came by to see us this afternoon, which normally Matthew would have been thrilled about, but he is sick with a stomach bug right now and is feeling really bad. All he wants to do is lay down and sleep, poor little man :(

Matthew and Meredith are cute together in the mornings while I get ready. Meredith sits in her bouncy seat while Matthew sits next to her and talks to her. He will tell her about his toys, sometimes he will even bring her some and show her how they work, and if she starts to get fussy he will tell her "it's okay baby". He also likes to show her how her bouncy seat works-like how to make the music and make the little bird spin. Such a great big brother already!

Wow, where does the time go? I can't believe Meredith is already 2 weeks old today! She has changed so much already since she was born, it really is amazing. Matthew is adjusting so well and loves having a little sister, he really seems proud of her and likes to show her off :)

Our Week with Grammy

Matthew and Meredith loved having Grammy here to play and help out this week. We took Meredith on her first trip to the mall and she "ate" out for the first time. Grammy was even able to come to her one-week doctor's appointment. Meredith is doing great, her weight was up to 6lbs 13 oz and everything else looked great. We are sad that she is leaving today, but we have a ton of pictures to help us remember the visit.

Meredith has more and more moments of being awake and alert every day.

Matthew still loves to hold his sister. He says the cutest things like how he loves his sister and this morning he was talking to her while she was in her bouncy seat and just turned to me and said "Mommy, the baby likes me" with a huge smile on his face.

Grammy instantly fell in love with Meredith the first time she held her....but who wouldn't fall in love with such a cuddly, cute little angel :)
I enjoyed having someone else to help out with all the diapers :)

Snuggle Time

Matt is bonding more and more with her

It was nice to have Grammy here and take care of Meredith so I could give Matthew more one-on-one time. We played play-doh for an hour one evening-we both loved it. I really try to give Matthew as much "Mommy" time as possible.

Of course he had to play play-doh with Grammy.

It snowed yesterday (which Grammy loved) so we just stayed in soft clothes all day and relaxed, getting in tons of Meredith and Matthew time.

Bath Time!

She is holding her head up really well already

Matthew is such a sweetheart and loves to give hugs and kisses to his sister.

He showed Grammy what a good job he could do shoveling off the deck-which he loves to do.

Bye Grammy, we will miss you and can't wait to see you again! Thanks for all of your help :)

Grammy and Matthew

Matthew was super excited yesterday to have Grammy come to play with him. He fell asleep on the way home from picking her up from the airport so when he woke up he was a little shy, but that went away in a matter of minutes.

He would slowly walk up to her and was real quiet, but when he remembered all of his toys he could show her he completely lit up and became the energized little man that we all know.

He showed her his robot (robo) and Grammy even drew a picture of it.

Next he decided he wanted to show her how he can get on the blog all by himself and proceeded to show her the pictures.

Of course he had to demonstrate how his power tools worked.

The toy circuit ended in his room where he was thrilled to have Grammy play toys with him. He just loves to have a playmate, especially since Mommy is busy with the baby and he isn't getting the one-on-one time that he is used too. (which I feel really bad about :(-I try to spend as much time with him as possible)

A Grammy Tradition

Grammy has a tradition of making a quilt for each of her grandchildren (Matthew still uses the one she made him) and she definitely went above and beyond when making Meredith's quilt. It is so adorable/beautiful/amazing and I can't wait for Meredith to get lots of cuddles and snuggles with it. Thanks Grammy!

These are just some random pictures of our first week at home with Meredith. Matthew loves to give her hugs and kisses, as he was trying to do here while she was in her pack-n-play. This was from when she first came home from the hospital.

The bean always wants to hold her, it's cute, and she is calm and likes to be held by her big brother. He is holding her for the first time at home here. He had a cold and his lip got super chapped, which is why it looks all red.

Peek-a-Boo! She loves to be wrapped up nice and tight.

Our first morning waking up with the new addition at home :)

Matthew wanted to hold her again first thing after he woke up.

On Wednesday she had her first doctor's appointment to check weight and jaundice-both which were fine. Her weight went down to 6 lbs 7 oz, but she is already almost back up to her birth weight.

Being a big brother is hard work! Matthew completely passed out on the chair after a full day of playing with Meredith and fulfilling his brotherly duties :)

Her first bath at home

She is so much more alert everyday, it's amazing to see the changes that happen just from day to day.

Can you tell I'm completely exhausted?! (But in a good way)
