Matthew's First Haircut

Grammy and I took Matthew to get his very first haircut this afternoon at a cute kids salon named 'Peek-a-Do'. It was adorable inside with kid-sized sinks and barber chairs. Out of a boat, airplane, and jeep, Matthew picked to sit in the boat. They had little televisions for them to watch and Matthew chose to watch a Thomas the Train show. He did amazing during the cut, followed the directions well, looking down when asked and such. He looks like such a little man now, it's amazing what one haircut can do! :)

He was a little unsure about the cloak at first. Grammy was watching from behind.

Tasha, his wonderful haircut woman, was great with kids and showed Matthew what all of the tools were. She had him put his finger on the cutter to show him it wasn't sharp and wouldn't hurt.

Getting started

You can see his expression in the mirror-it's like he isn't quite sure about what is being done with him, yet he's tolerating it.

Goodbye uneven "bowl" cut from Mommy :)

He got a little antsy towards the end and moved around some in the boat chair.

Getting all of the hair off his shirt with a lent roller.

All done, the finished product! He looks even more handsome now :)

I was so proud of him-he did so well. He's my big boy!
