Good Morning

Meredith loves to play around on my bed before bath time. It doesn't matter how fussy she is, as soon as I lay her down and start to undress her she becomes a coo-ing, laughing, smiley baby.

Deruyter Lake

We all went up to Jason and Courtney's house on Deruyter lake for a night this weekend. It is a clean, beautiful lake and Matthew loved that he could fish right in the backyard (well, if you consider a cool deck right on the lake a backyard :) ). He went out on the boat to fish with Jason and Matt, hung out with us while we had a fire in the fire pit at night, and just had a blast being a wild nut ball.

Their dog, Baxter, is a silly dog who LOVES the boat and will just sit on it for hours and hours-he literally freaks out if it is at the dock and he isn't on it.

We have had a jam-packed weekend with Matthew's birthday party, a day on Papa's boat, swimming in Brittney's pool, a cookout, and then spending the night at a friend's lake house (pictures to come). We are all completely exhausted right now, but it was so worth it!

They only stayed in for about 20 minutes, but it was a super fun 20 minutes for Matthew

Matthew's 3rd Birthday Party

Matthew had a SpongeBob themed birthday party today and he/we had a ton of fun. I'm still in shock that he is three! He got a ton of presents (thank you everyone!) and loved his cake.

He was glad to finally get started on opening his gifts. It was torture to him to wake up and see his gifts but not be able to open them until the afternoon when everyone arrived. (It really wasn't that bad-he would play with them, stack them up and move them around and occasionally ask if he could open one, to which I would respond that we had to wait and he would be okay with it)

He quickly got into the swing of things and tore into the gifts.

His big boy bike was a big deal-thanks Grammy and Grandpa!

He had fun playing with his water gun (hence the couple change of outfits :) ) Thanks Brittney and Aykut!

Meredith was worn out from all of the excitement

His very own kitchen was also a big hit-thanks Nana and Papa!

Putting the candles on his cake-he was a little upset about not being able to do "the fire" by himself

Happy Birthday Bean

Matthew had a super fun birthday. He kept his eyes closed while we sang "Happy Birthday"-so cute and typical Matthew. I cannot believe he is three!

Matt took Matthew trout fishing yesterday evening. The place they went too looks so pretty and peaceful, I wish I had gone. Matthew caught a fish and had fun running around and getting dirty.
