Matthew had a SpongeBob themed birthday party today and he/we had a ton of fun. I'm still in shock that he is three! He got a ton of presents (thank you everyone!) and loved his cake.

He was glad to finally get started on opening his gifts. It was torture to him to wake up and see his gifts but not be able to open them until the afternoon when everyone arrived. (It really wasn't that bad-he would play with them, stack them up and move them around and occasionally ask if he could open one, to which I would respond that we had to wait and he would be okay with it) 
He had a full audience to his gift unwrapping 
He quickly got into the swing of things and tore into the gifts.
Meredith was pretty content to watch what was going on-she loves commotion
His big boy bike was a big deal-thanks Grammy and Grandpa! 
He had fun playing with his water gun (hence the couple change of outfits :) ) Thanks Brittney and Aykut!
Meredith was worn out from all of the excitement
His very own kitchen was also a big hit-thanks Nana and Papa!
Putting the candles on his cake-he was a little upset about not being able to do "the fire" by himself
Yummy!
Thanks to everyone for making this such a special day for Matthew and a great memory for us all!

Wish you guys had been there too! We missed everyone who wasn't there-you were all in our thoughts :)
I am so jealous I couldn't be there. I am glad he had such a great time though. Love you guys and miss you.
We love you too and really did think about you all day wishing you could be there.
