Congrats Grad Brittney!!!

Brittney had her graduation from SU this weekend with a double masters in Education and Special Education.  There were only two people in her department who got two masters, her being one of them.  Way to go Brittney!  We could not be more proud of her!  It was amazing to watch her walk across the stage to receive her diploma and help her celebrate this momentous occasion.  All of her hard work and many many many hours of homework really payed off and I can't wait to see what wonderful things she does with this new chapter in her life.

Not only is she a smart graduate, but she is also a gorgeous graduate!

Anxiously awaiting the start of the ceremony

Matthew was content to watch Scooby Doo on my phone.  He asked me what a graduation was which I tried my best to explain.  His response after some tangents:  "I'm going to stop going to school because I'm going to be a scientist when I grow up."  I tried to tell him that in order to be a scientist he would need to stay in school.  He didn't believe me ;)

Of course we needed to celebrate Brittney's great accomplishment...so it was on to a yummy dinner

Aykut surprised Brittney with a party after.  She had no idea!  He even drove her all the way home, stopped in front of their house, and then just drove over to the cake, decorations and presents.

One day my Meredith will wear her own cap and gown

Aykut was beaming the whole time, you could tell how proud of her he was just by looking at his face

Popping the cork

Such a proud moment for a father and his daughter

Great Nana celebrated with everyone

Meredith practiced walking across the stage.  She actually tried to steal Brittney's thunder that morning by taking her very first step ;)
