Family Camping Trip-Part 1

The kids and I went on our first camping trip of the year with Nana, Papa, and Great Nana.  We camped in Parish, NY and could not have had a more enjoyable time.  The weather was perfect-warm and tons of sunshine.  The company was the best as we all love spending time with Nana, Papa, and Great Nana, and the accommodations were unbeatable!  We stayed in Papa's new motor home for our first time and I have to admit that I am now spoiled and don't want to go camping any other way (i.e. in an uncomfortable, cramped tent on the cold, hard ground!)  It was especially nice to not have to pee in the woods (which I was very thankful for that aspect in the middle of the night when it was raining and Matthew and I had to go) and when we woke up Sunday morning to a downpour-but we were all warm and dry and able to get ready without getting soaked. A camping trip was exactly what I needed after the past several busy, stressful weeks.  It's so nice to sit around and do nothing but enjoy each other's company, eat yummy "camping" food, and watch the kids get completely dirty.  Matthew especially had a blast, but he is a "mountain man" and has no need for any type of toys/games/TV when he has the woods to explore and fires to tend to :)

Papa is the BEST!

One of Meredith's favorite activities inside of the RV was playing with the console.  She would move coins from one cup holder to another, one coin at a time, and then repeat it all over

One of the few times we were in the RV with Nana.  The majority of the trip was spent outside :)

Great Nana was delighted to camp and Meredith was thrilled to have her favorite person there to play with.

Matthew helped Papa set up his portable kitchen when we first arrived

Awww...to sit and not have a to-do list going through your head of chores that are waiting to be done is pure bliss for me

More pictures to come :)
