Gillie Lake

Hooray for sunshine!  The kids and I met up with some friends for some fun in a lake.  Matthew, Austin, and Jilian got started playing asap, as did Meredith and the other kids.

Meredith and Elizabeth marched right in the water.  Meredith is my little fishie.  She can't get enough of the water and likes to "swim" as far out as I'll let her go

Nate and Matthew had some sort of game going on for awhile, although I have to admit I wasn't exactly sure what the rules/objectives were, but they seemed to know which is all that matters :)

Her favorite way to hang out in the water was on her tummy.  She would let her feet float behind her and also "walk" around in the water on her belly

What a mess!  There was sand in places that sand should not be, but it was too cute watching her dig/play in the sand

Lysander Town Park

We are exploring different parks around town and finding out how much fun they all can be.  Playgrounds have a whole new meaning to Meredith now that she can walk.  She likes to try to climb up slides, slide down slides by herself, and crawl all over the equipment.

We met up with some friends and the older kids had a water gun fight.  At first Matthew would get upset if he was sprayed, but after explaining that during a match, not only does he get to spray people, but they get to spray him as well, he went back out and had a blast getting soaked :)

At one point Matthew thought there was too much sand on his water gun so he decided to wash it off.  Even though he was pretty wet already, he didn't want to get sprayed by the mister, so he set his gun down, started the water and then ran out as fast as he could until it stopped.  I don't always understand some of the thought processes of children, but I sure am amused by them!

My beautiful princess' hair is finally starting to be long enough for ponytails!  I am extremely excited about this fact, and she actually seems to like it when I do her hair, which I hope lasts!  (she had a mouthful of food when I took this pic...lol )

Random Park Play

Some kids carry around a blankie or stuffed animal all the time.  Meredith carries a Louis Vuitton clutch purse....so classy :)  She keeps her pacifiers and toy cell phone inside, among other random things she will find and decide is perfect purse material.

This visit was so quick, I'm homesick already!  Matthew is still talking about how much fun he had with everyone
