Although Callie moved away from us a few months ago, I still felt close to her due to the fact that my sister was taking care of her and I could visit her whenever I was in Raleigh. Tonight though, Callie was officially given to an awesome veterinarian who is on a mission to find her (and Julie's two other cats) a great, loving home. I never did like cats before I had her, but she totally changed my perspective as she was a loving, observant, calm (some might have said lazy), kid-friendly, amazing feline. In a way, she was a reminder of my late grandfather because she used to sleep on his belly every night. I'm grateful to my sis for taking care of her these past few months and for making the hard, but best for Callie, decision of giving her up for adoption. Callie will be thought of and missed dearly

I know how you feel. Oliver was my first pet and he completely changed my perspective on cats. I can't even think about not coming home to him without choking up. I know all the cats will be taken well care of and have great new homes.
It was the right thing...even though it sucks :( Thank you for taking care of Callie for me
