B'Ville Public Library

Even though the library is only one mile from our house we hardly ever go, which is our loss because our library has everything from books, movies, CDs, video games (DS, XBox, etc) to check out, in addition to the variety of games and puzzles to play with while at the library.  We did think to visit the library the other day and had a blast, at the library and at home with all of the fun stuff we checked out.  Matthew even found a visual Star Wars encyclopedia that he has flipped through countless times already. 

Matthew has Winter break this week and we have been pretty boring so far.  It's way too cold to play outstide for more than five minutes, so we are trying to beat cabin fever with fun games and activities.  We haven't played Play-Doh in a bit, so the kids were thrilled to use it.  Meredith kept taunting Matthew by putting a piece of play-doh up to her mouth like she was going to eat it and then stare at her brother until he scolded her about eating it.  This "game" of theirs went on for awhile and I didn't put a stop to it because they were having fun and being silly about it.  (Our laziness is evident by the fact that it was the middle of the day and we still had on our pajamas)

We couldn't find out play-doh tools so we improvised with some kitchen utensils, such as a spatula, spoons, and even a meat pounder :)

Snug As Two Little Love Bugs In A Rug

Happy, Happy Heart Day!

 It's Love day and my two little-munchkins are at the top of my Love list :)  Matthew spent the last few days writing 19 valentines for his classmates, which was mainly enjoyable but a tad tedious for him by the final few.  I picked him up from school bursting from the seams with excitement to read his many Valentines-which he has re-read countless times today :)  Poor Meredith has pink eye, but that didn't stop her from being the sweet, little cherub that she is

 Now that's a chocolate bar!  Thanks Grammy and Grandpa!

Matthew made me the best purple-heart valentine at school, gave me the tightest hug, and told me I was the greatest mommy ever.  I could not ask for a better gift on this heart day!

Loving Family

Meredith must be a special little princess because her Nana and Papa gave her her own doll house for her birthday :)  Meredith absolutely LOVES playing with it-and Matthew likes it probably as much as Meredith does-lol.  It's the most adorable thing to watch them play house together and make the little people talk and do things.  I forsee many many hours of enjoyment to be had from this doll house-Thanks Nana and Papa!

Happy 2nd Birthday, My Precious Princess

Meredith is turning 2!  Her birthday is Wednesday, so we celebrated yesterday when Nana, Papa, Great Nana, Brittney, and Aykut could come join in the festivities. Matthew has been so excited for his little sister and couldn't wait to help her party the afternoon away :)

I decided to bake Meredith's cake from scratch this year-rich chocolate with pink cream cheese frosting.  It might not have looked spectacular, but it was made with lots of love :)
