Matthew's White Belt

For the past three weeks Matthew participated in an intro to Karate course to learn the very basic moves and give him a peek into what it was all about.  He LOVED it, and that is an understatement!  This evening he had the opportunity to show us what he learned and get presented with his white belt.  I'm so proud of my Bean :)

My super talented niece Jordan is in a music video, super neat!  I'm so proud of her :)  The group is Waiting for Signal and the song is Sign of The Times

Big Girl Meredith

Merebear had her 3-year-old check-up today and is growing and maturing wonderfully.  She is on target (advanced in some areas) with the cognitive and motor skills for her age group and in the 50-percentile for both height and weight (she weighs 30.5 lbs and is 37.5 inches tall)  She is delighted to be an older sister; mentioning often all of the helpful things she will do, such has comforting her and helping with baths, when her little sister arrives.  I'm thankful to have such an empathetic, easy-going, happy little girl as my daughter :)  

Spring Is In The Air

The mild Winter is turning into an early Spring (YAY!) so the kids and I have been enjoying playing outside and attacking our cabin fever head on.  Matthew is turning into a tree climbing machine

He is also taking Karate for the month of March and turning into a lean, mean, fighting machine ;) 

Meredith plays so hard outside that she wears herself out by the afternoons

Cranx Soft Opening

Cranx opened to the public yesterday during their soft opening (they still have parts to finish and glitches to work out before the grand opening), which meant one thing: Matthew was finally able to ride his bike around the park!  He anticipated it the entire week and was not disappointed, although he was slightly intimidated by the many, older riders zipping past him.  He loved the XC line and the free-ride pit.  Meredith and I enjoyed ourselves in the picnic table area while watching the other riders.  

Baby Girl At 31 Weeks

My due date is fast approaching!  I went in for a sonogram to measure how the baby is growing and came home with this profile pic of the little princess.  You can see the side of her face, looking up, with the top of her head to the right of the picture.  Her cute little nose and lips are pointing towards the top and her little hand is in a fist right under her chin.  She had hiccups during part of the exam which was amusing to watch on the monitor
