Baby Shower!

Brittney and Nana threw Matt, the baby and I the nicest baby shower complete with beautiful decorations, fun games, great gifts, and tasty cake.  One of my friends, Krista, was even able to make it to help celebrate our impending bundle of joy.

Being 38 1/2 weeks pregnant, I know I will enjoy the bubble bath, scented candle, and other spa-like stuff to relax some before the baby comes

Matthew was eager to help open the gifts for his new baby sister

I'm so grateful for Brittney being a part of putting the shower together for us, even though she just had surgery and is still recovering and in pain.  Thanks!!!

It was wonderful for Nana and Papa to do the shower as well and for all of the great baby stuff , Thank you :)

Gone Fishin'

A couple of days before Easter we all went fishing for some trout.  Meredith and I observed and hiked around while Matt and Matthew focused on catching some brown trout.  Matthew ended up catching two on a fly rod!  It was his first catch of the season

Pending Arrival

Now that I'm 37 weeks along, 50% effaced, and 3 cm dilated we are all anxious for the arrival of our new little angel.  Meredith and Matthew are super excited and play with Meredith's doll babies constantly to practice taking care of a newborn.

Easter Afternoon At The Park

Easter afternoon was spent at a park running around the playground and flying a kite.  There were a couple of other people who had the same kite idea-Matt's kite is the light blue one

Easter Morning

We had a great Easter this year!  The Easter Bunny visited our house and left behind candy and eggs that Matthew and Meredith cheerily discovered and it was the first year that I cooked Easter breakfast and Easter dinner on my own and they both turned out delicious!  The traditional Meckstroth breakfast casserole was on the menu for breakfast and for dinner I prepared ham, marinated cheese noodles, orange glazed carrots, biscuits, and homemade carrot cake-yum!  Matthew went fishing for a couple of hours in the morning and we went to a park as a family in the afternoon.  It really was a wonderful day :)
