Easter Morning

I think that Easter is one of those holidays that is so much more fun with kids.  Surprisingly, this was Matt's very first Easter with the kids.  Matthew was excited for the Easter Bunny to visit our house while he slept.  We discussed his methods of hiding eggs and leaving treats during bedtime.  We also left out a plate of carrots so he could have a snack while he was hiding the eggs :).  He dove right into searching for the eggs as soon as he woke up.

Meredith was content to play with one or two eggs.  She liked to shake them and open and close them.

Her way of telling me she wanted a piece of candy open was to hold it out and "talk"

When I wouldn't open the candy for her she decided she might as well just try to eat it with the wrapper on-lol!

There is nothing better in the world for me than to see the pure joy in my childrens' faces

He got excited about each and every egg that he opened and wanted to make sure I saw every single treat that the Easter Bunny left for him

Inspecting the Easter baskets-of course the grass was the most interesting part :)

Being the great big brother that he is, he told Meredith all about the things in her basket and how they worked or what they tasted like
His favorite surprise from the Bunny was the robot pajamas.  It's great that the Easter Bunny knew that Matthew LOVED zip-up pajamas and robots ;)

It sounds like you really did a good job of making the kid's Easter memorable. I wish I was there to enjoy it with you guys.
