The Traditional Hill Ridge Farm

An absolute must during our quick Halloween trip to Raleigh was our favorite Hill Ridge Farm.  It has become a tradition that we all look forward to, as we have been for three years in a row now.  The farm adds one new attraction every season so there is always something new to look forward to.  We went on a hay ride to the pumpkin field to pick our pumpkins at the end of our time on the farm.  Matthew and Grandpa made sure to analyze the pumpkins to choose the best ones

Meredith decided that since the pumpkins were too heavy for her to lift, she would just take the stickers off of them and put them on her shirt...ha ha

We thought due to the gorgeous weather and the fact that it was Halloween day the farm would be crazy busy, but it was actually somewhat sparse, which actually made the activities such as the hay jump and corn-box more enjoyable to play in as there weren't so many other kids to watch out for.

Woo-hoo!

Arguably the kids favorite attraction was the corn-box.  And, another plus to it not being crowded-they had an unlimited amount of time to play around.  I even joined them for a bit!  We got a chuckle later in the day when we changed Meredith and discovered several corn pieces in her diaper  :)

No doubt the best way to spend Halloween Day!
